Bienvenue dans la Funky Farmer Family !
Nous sommes un couple passionné de voyage et de rencontres, nous aimons l'océan, la nature et la nourriture !! Nous apprécions accueillir sur une partie de l'année, de nouvelles personnes qui souhaitent découvrir notre mode de vie et nous aider dans notre quotidien.
Ainsi nous avons crée une ferme diversifiée de 6 ha, a Mimizan et à seulement 9 Km de l'océan.
Notre activité principale est donc le maraîchage sur sol vivant, 1 ha à choyer au quotidien, rythmé par les semis, plantation, récoltes, etc. L'été une grosse partie de notre emploi du temps est dédiée à la commercialisation, sur différents marchés.
Parmi nos occupations il y a aussi le soin aux animaux.
Enfin, une partie de notre terrain est dédié à l'éco-tourisme de mai à septembre. Dans ce cadre il y a toujours divers travaux d'entretien, d'aménagement et de construction. Et ce également pour notre vie quotidienne qui est faite de simplicité, débrouille et récup !
Du jardinage et de nombreuses activités variées en plein air sont donc au programme.
Mais aussi les balades, surf et dîners entre amis... Ambiance conviviale et bonne humeur au rendez-vous !

We are a couple passionate about travel and meetings, we love the ocean, nature and food !! We appreciate welcoming new people who want to discover our way of life and help us in our daily life.
So we created a diversified farm of 6ha, next to the Lake of Mimizan and only 9 km from the ocean.
Our main activity is groing vegetables , 1ha to take care, punctuated by sowing, planting, harvesting, etc. In summer, a large part of our schedule is dedicated to marketing, on different markets.
Among our occupations there is also animal care.
Finally, part of our land is dedicated to eco-tourism from May to September. In this context there are always various maintenance, development and construction works. And this also for our daily life which is made of simplicity, manages and recovers!
Gardening and many varied outdoor activities are therefore on the program.
But also walks, surfing and dinners with friends ... Friendly atmosphere and good humor!

j'ai passé un sejour tres sympa chez Nico et Lila, le travail, l'endroit etc etc etait parfait! Ils sont des personnes très sympa et chaleureux! J'ai passé des bons moments, discussions, marchés et tout!! Merci beaucoup Lila et Nico pour les 3 semaines formidable!!

Merci pour les bons moments passés à la ferme en août/septembre ! Un bel endroit en pleine nature avec des gens passionnés et sympathiques et beaucoup de liberté. L'endroit idéal pour passer un été, travailler dans les champs de fruits et légumes le matin, cuisiner des fruits et légumes frais et aller à la plage l'après-midi. J'ai beaucoup appris et travailler avec Nico sur les marchés locaux a été un grand changement ! Il y a un grand espace dédié sur la ferme pour les woofers, vous avez donc une totale liberté.

Really appreciated working here! Environment is extremely open and eccentric. The hosts are incredibly kind, warm, energetic, and welcoming. Pretty hands-off with the WWOOFers at this time of year (kinda relied on other WWOOFers to show each other how to live and work there)— would definitely recommend if you’re interested in a relaxed, independent working experience in nature— and the vegetables you get to eat on the farm are great :))
Work was harvesting and sometimes working at different farmers’ markets in the area (town, a naturist camp, etc etc). Afternoons were free— easiest to leave the farm for town/beaches/etc if you brought your own car, otherwise the main way was hitchhiking. Campsite is really beautiful and rustic— old caravans, pet peacocks/pigs/cats, cool alternative architectural designs (rudimentary outdoor bathtub and toilet, communal kitchen space). Basic food provided & drinking water from a hose a short walk from the campsite.

Lila et Nico sont de magnifiques rencontres. Leur ferme est un lieu de vie aux valeurs fortes. Ils débordent de projets ambitieux mais prennent le temps de transmettre et d’accueillir. J’ai vécu trois semaines de re connexion à la nature. Merci pour ces moments vrais ensemble.

J'ai passé un très bon woofing dans un cadre super agréable et original qui correspond à mes valeurs! Ils sont au top à cette ferme, avec des projets ambitieux. L'accueil était chaleureux et les instructions claires, j'étais vraiment contente de cette expérience! Merci beaucoup !!

Selina and I had an amazing stay at Benico! A place to come as strangers and leave as family. We'd strongly recommend working with Nico, Lila and the gang! Nico has a contagious passion and drive that will make you rethink how you eat and where market vegetables come from. He is a book of knowledge and many lessons are to be learned. This man can help you put your priorities in life where they should be. Lila's yoga classes will make you sweat and will have you feeling invigorated and reconnected to yourself!
