Notre projet est d’accueillir des personnes dans notre maison pour participer à l’entretien du potager, du verger et des espaces verts ( tonte gazon, arrachage ronces, plantations légumes). Nous souhaitons également partager notre vie familiale et échanger sur nos expériences de voyages et de cultures. Les activités: Jardinage, travail du bois, cuisine, soins aux animaux (poules,chat) Nous proposons une activité d’environ 5 heures par jour réparties selon les conditions entre le potager, le verger, les espaces verts et le bricolage. Nous pratiquons le yoga, la méditation, la randonnée en montagne (à 45mn), danses locales, musique mais également les sorties à l’océan (60 mn); bicyclette. Une chambre avec salle d’eau intégrée est à la disposition du woofer. We are a bilingual English / French family (with a 19 yr old daughter who is at home during holidays). We live in a beautiful new wooden house in the countryside ( 5 km from Pau) with an astonishing view of the mountains. On our land we have chickens, fruit trees and a permaculture garden. We created it eight years ago and it still needs some improvements. We have a cat (our dog died a year ago). I am retired from an aeronautical company and my partner is a life coach. We love travelling and hosting people and discovering new cultures. We also practice yoga and meditation from time to time and enjoy walking, dancing and local Occitan music. Half of the family is vegetarian. We live 45 mins from the mountains where there are plenty of lovely walks. The sea at Biarritz is just over an hour away. Our house is fitted with compost toilets. A bedroom is free to host workaway visitors. The main family meal is supper. At lunchtime we have a light meal. Breakfast is available as required. From us you can learn French and English and culture and also vegetarian cooking, permaculture gardening, carpentry and DIY. We live in the south west of France at the foot of the Pyrénées, close to the sea and close to spain. We do hiking, cycling, dancing.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour. Nous étions bien accueillis, il y a eu un bel échange de culture, de traditions culinaires. Nous sommes très heureux de ce wwoofing tres enrichissant. Merci aux hôtes.

Rencontrer Jacques et Anna a été une superbe expérience tant en termes d'échanges, de découvertes que de partage de savoirs. Je suis restée environ 10 jours, le temps est passé très vite entre entretien des fruitiers (paillage pour l'automne), avons refait le stock en copeaux pour la saison, effectué l'entretien du chemin passe-pied au sein du potager circulaire, donné un coup de main hebdomadaire aux Jardins de Plume. En quelques mots, ce sont des hôtes plein de ressources, d'énergie, enclins à (faire) rencontrer du monde. J'ai été séduite par la région et les personnalités que j'ai eu le plaisir de découvrir. Tout cela dans une ambiance réellement bienveillante. Il y a aussi un joli choix de sentiers (rando, vélo) aux alentours et la possibilité de côtoyer les montagnes que l'on peut déjà convoiter du regard depuis la terrasse :) Contente d'avoir laissé ma pâte ;) pour de beaux pains à venir! Had a great stay with Jacques, the work was varied and interesting and I learnt new skills and gained knowledge over all the different plants in their garden. I had access to a bike so I could cycle into Pau and the home itself is beautiful. Highly recommend.

C'était un plaisir de rencontrer Jacques. Je n'ai pas logé chez lui, mais il m'a fait visiter sa magnifique maison avec une vue extra. Puis il m'a offert une opportunité de faire des expèriences dans le maraîchage sur sol vivant pour laquelle je lui suis très reconnaissante. Pour conclure Merci à toi, Jacques, je recommande vivement.

Had a great time with Jacques and Anne during my week stay with them. They live in a very pretty house with an amazing view of the the mountains not far from Pau. The work consists of helping Jacques with work arround the garden and the house. In November, there wasn't much work to be done in the garden, we did some cleaning in the garage, cracked some almonds, fixed the chicken coup, organized wood, weeded the lawn and visited the local markets. On tuesdays, Jacques works as volunteer at a market gardener's place, that day was very enjoyable, I got to learn a lot and meet new people. Hours worked were always fair. Anne is a coach, with who I had several interasting conversations, she's a great listener and she provided me with some very useful advice. I enjoyed cooking and getting to know both of them, we had several interasting conversations and sharing of life experiences. On Sunday they took me for a walk in the mountains and mushroom hunting. Excelent experience at Jacques and Anne's place, I surely recomend it. Thanks Cristobal.

I had a great experience with Jacques and Anna. I stayed there for a week and they are two lovely and caring people so it was really easy to feel good there :) They have a beautiful garden with an amazing view on the Pyrenees. Work was quite hard but also enough time to recover. We also went for a small hike in the Pyrenees which was as well a highlight :) Thank you again Jacques and Anna for the time we've spent together!
