Bonjour amis woofeur, Ma ferme est créée depuis le 01 janvier 2018. Il s'agit d'un jardin de 8000 m² à vocation pédagogique et de production de culture maraîchère et de plantes aromatiques et médicinales. Ce jardin se situe dans le sud de la France, à 33 km de Toulon et à 130 km de Nice dans un village qui dispose d'une gare avec un passage de train assez fréquent. La ferme s'étend sur 2 ha 160. Sur place il y a l'eau, l'électricité, internet. Durant votre séjour vous aurez l'opportunité de participer à la plantation du jardin, à la création de petit bâti en bois type bergerie ou poulailler. Vous pourrez aussi contribuer à la création de l'outil pédagogique de visite du site. Deux jours de repos hebdomadaire de la ferme sont prévus. Les activités auxquelles vous souhaitez participer auront lieu indifféremment le matin ou l'après -midi et en fonction de la météo. Pour votre séjour, vous serez logés dans une chambre directement sur la ferme avec tout confort (chambre, salle de bain, cuisine, TV, Internet, etc.), ou en fonction de la saison dans une caravane avec eau, électrique et toilettes à proximité. Pour vos loisirs, hormis les points caractéristiques du village, vous êtes à 20 minutes de Toulon par le train et à 1h30 de Nice. Anglais et italien parlés. Fumeurs s'abstenir. Located in the South of France, in a typical Provençal village named CARNOULES, the farm, is 20 miles from TOULON/HYERES, about 50 miles from MARSEILLE/MARIGNANE and 60 miles far from NICE airports. The village has a train station too. The farm called "Le jardin de Brigitte"is laid on 25307 yards2. On site you have water, electricity and web connexion. During your stay you will be asked to work at various activities linked to the project: - planting vegetables and aromatic and medicinal flowers, - creation of a small sheephold (using ecological and tradional materials), - creation of a henhouse, - cure animals (sheep, goat, pig, hen, duck,, rabbit etc.) - you also be involved in the Web site development. Two days-off are planned. Activities take place either in the morning or in the afternoon depending on the weather forecasts and the needs of the farm. During summer due to hot temperature the activities will be mainly early mornings. Depending on the availability, a room in a wooden house directly in the field with all confort (TV, Internet, etc.), or a van with electricity and water. Toilet near by. J'ai passé tout le mois d'août chez Brigitte. L'accueil était parfait, mon séjour c'est très bien passé, les activités sont cool. L'endroit est très tranquille et reposant. Brigitte est une dame très sympa. La caravane est en bonne état. Merci Brigitte.

Brigitte m'a accueilli avec bienveillance dans son jardin ce mois d'avril 2025. Bien qu'ayant un emploi du temps bien rempli, Brigitte a toujours veillée à ce qu'il ne me manque rien. Une bonne partie de la journée était consacrée aux animaux, et le temps restant aux plantations avec étude des vertus de toute la végétation environnante. À l'occasion, une petite balade digestive dans les chemins alentours, toujours dans un esprit ludique, permet de découvrir de nouvelles plantes et leurs bienfaits. Finalement, ce mois sera passé très vite, mais je repars avec un petit bagage d'expériences qui ne demande qu'à grossir avec les wwoofing à venir. Merci Brigitte pour toute cette attention et pour l'engouement sincère à la transmission de tes connaissances. Je te souhaite le meilleur, ainsi qu'à tous tes compagnons de la ferme, dans la poursuite de cette belle aventure.

I had my first WWOOF'ing experience with Brigitte. I think my stay accidentally collided with some unusual events for her, so parts of my experience may not be generally applicable. Brigitte as a person is welcoming and kind and continuously makes sure that you are not leaving the table hungry, that you sleep well, etc. I of course don't expect my french host to be native in English, but as someone who only knows a little bit of french, it was sometimes hard to communicate in nuances with her in English. She can be direct when communicating. In the beginning, I found it unclear what was expected of me. So here's a list to help you know what to expect regarding the work: Morning: open the fences, clean animal houses, provide animals with food/water. Evening: bring the animals in. In between: Brigitte will have tasks. Frequent ones are: make soup for the pigs, cut wood, help prepare meals, buy groceries. Good things: - This place has many nice animals: sheep, goats, pigs, hens, ducks, geese, a rabbit and a dog. - The area is nice and you can take the train to the big cities on the coast. - Good bed! Less good things: - I found the level of cleanliness in the kitchen to be less than I would have liked. Kitchenware was not always cleaned with soap, hot water from the tap used in cooking, etc. - The house is primitive and heated by an oven, so the air inside is not super good. - Dinner (around 20:00) can be somewhat similar every day. But you can make requests for foods.

Mon expérience dans ce woofing a été mitigée. Je devais rester 2 semaines chez Brigitte mais je ne suis restée qu'une nuit. Brigitte est une personne sympathique et accueillante. Elle partage volontiers son quotidien, et elle a sûrement beaucoup à transmettre sur les plantes et le soin aux animaux. Néanmoins les conditions de vie peuvent être difficiles pour certaines personnes. Les conditions d'accueil ne m'ont pas parues adéquates pour la saison hivernale : cabane de tôle, un poêle pour chauffer, une pièce commune qui fait cuisine et chambres. L'espace aurait besoin d'améliorations en termes de propreté et d'organisation. Si vous envisagez de venir, je recommande de bien discuter des attentes et des conditions avant votre arrivée pour être sûr.e que cela vous convient. Je conseille aux woofeur.euses de se rendre chez Brigitte en été pour pouvoir loger dans la caravane dans le jardin.

Le tre settimane trascorse da Brigitte sono state preziose ed emozionanti. Brigitte è una host accogliente e premurosa, sa metterti a proprio agio e sentire in famiglia. Le attività svolte sono state principalmente di cura degli animali, ai quali Brigitte tiene moltissimo. La mattina inizia sempre con qualche carezza a maiali, pecore e capre, continua poi al pollaio e infine dalle oche e anatre. Brigitte è molto attenta a rispettare le pause, che ci sia sempre cibo in quantità e una tisana a riscaldarti (io sono stato nel mese di novembre). Oltre agli animali ci si prende cura dello spazio del giardino dove sono piantate erbe officinali e aromatiche; passeggiando tra le varie sezioni Brigitte non tarda a raccontare le storie e proprietà delle varie specie, ho dunque imparato diverse nozioni su piante, ma anche animali, storia e filosofia! L'armonia che soffia nel suo giardino la si può percepire nella tranquillità degli animali, abituati al contatto umano, dal verdeggiare della natura e dalla premura che Brigitte mette nel prendersi cura di ogni piccolo dettaglio. Grazie mille ancora per questa esperienza!

Le Jardin de Brigitte was my first WWOOFing experience, and I cannot express adequately just how perfect it was. Brigitte is eager to teach, and just as ready to learn. In addition to all the enriching information and experience I gained about the animals and plants there, we also had many discussions about language; anytime I had a question about a word or a grammar usage in French she answered readily, and asked for the terminology in English in turn. She is an incredibly welcoming host, and made sure to encourage me to integrate into the lifestyle here. The farm is peaceful, the animals are beautiful, the work is fulfilling, and the countryside is tranquil. An amazing stay for anyone looking to enrich themselves.
